Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT) is an independent charity working for a cleaner, greener, healthier Peterborough.

We deliver a range of projects and initiatives working with local people, communities, schools, businesses, local authorities and voluntary organisations. Our aim is to create a truly sustainable Peterborough...the UK's Environment Capital.

PECT was set up to respond to the challenge set by Peterborough's designation in 1992 as one of four UK Environment Cities along with Leeds, Leicester and Middlesbrough. Since this time we have established a track record in delivering innovative and award-winning environmental projects of local and national significance.
