One of the Greeniversity's partners is the Nene Park Tust and last week I went along on one of the courses which they offer on the Greeniversity 'Ramble from River to Rail'.

This was a 6 mile walk for health and wellbeing from Ferry Meadows Country Park along the River Nene to the Nene Valley Railway at Wandsford where we caught the tain back to the park for our picnic.

I didn't go on the walk on my own, I was lucky enough to be accoupanied by 3 lovely ladies Karen, who works as a PECT volunteer, and two of her housemates Jane and Simmonette. We had a lovely day, the sun was shining and we all gained a real sense of achievment, a 6 mile walk isn't something any of us have done before and it was a real challenge!

Karen, Jane and Simonette waiting to leave on our adventure.

After our walk we had a picnic back at the park and a much deserved cup of tea, and I had made three wonderful new friends and have a day to remember which I will cherish.
