Generous support given to the Forest for Peterborough

A generous donation of over £4,000 was made by Utility Aid to Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT)  for the Forest for Peterborough. Utility Aid have been working to provide advice for businesses on how to save energy.

Last Saturday, a tree planting day was held at the Forest for Peterborough site in Willow Drove, Newborough and over 1,000 trees were planted. The Forest for Peterborough scheme was set up last year by PECT and the aim is to plant one tree for every resident of Peterborough – 170,000.

Caroline Hall, Forest for Peterborough Project Officer, for PECT, was delighted at the generous donation. “We are exceptionally grateful for the donation we have received from Utility Aid and also the turn out of the 19 volunteers who came to help plant them”
