Take pride in your environment at the Green Festival

Do you want to help make your local area clean and tidy? Why not join other like-minded people for the Green Festival Community Stewardship Litter Pick on Tuesday 26th May, from 12noon.

Litter pick attendees will be meeting at the north end of Sainsbury’s car park, Oxney Road, Fengate, and then covering the area from the riverside at Perkins through to Showcase Cinemas.

This is a fringe event, part of the Green Festival (which this year runs from 23rd to 31st May), and is supported by IKEA and run in partnership by the charity Peterborough Environment City Trust, Amey and RiverCare All equipment will be provided and if you would like more information about getting involved, please email Tim Devonshire on mrtdevonshire@gmail.com.

This is just one of the many events happening through the week; there will plenty of opportunities to get out and about, including the Swaddywell Geology Walk, sponsored bike rides, a Peterborough Bus Walk and even a film viewing powered by people cycling!
