An Inconvenient Truth for Peterborough
Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT), Peterborough City Council, and the Greater Peterborough Partnership have developed a short video based on Al Gore’s climate change film An Inconvenient Truth.

The short video investigates the Inconvenient Truth for Peterborough and the wider Eastern Region which is particularly vulnerable to flooding.

Almost all scientists now agree that the climate is changing due to greenhouse gases produced by human activities. Climate change could lead to storms, droughts, floods and extreme temperatures. This will have serious consequences for our health, our city and our environment.

Did you know?

Peterborough is responsible for creating over 1.4 million tonnes of greenhouse gases a year. That's enough to fill the city's cathedral every 2 minutes.

altClimate change is probably the biggest threat facing the world today, beyond even terrorism."
