Green Energy Switch is a website to help people in Peterborough switch to a green energy supplier, find hints and tips on living sustainably, learn about saving energy in the home, and explore home renewable energy options.
Launched in May 2008 the site has already received over 13,000 pledges to go green from people across the UK.
The development of the website was made possible by a generous donation from Norwich and Peterborough Building Society. The site provides comprehensive advice on energy efficiency and the options for installing renewable energy at home.
The site also gives an interesting overview of which energy providers are the greenest by showing the mix of power sources utilised - coal, gas, nuclear, renewable energy...
