PECT's Transport Audit, undertaken in partnership with Perkins Engines, Peterborough City Council and Newcastle University's Transport Operations Research Group was published in September 2003.
The Audit:
- Assembles a comprehensive database of Peterborough's transport facilities
- Establishes levels of transport supply and demand in the city
- Gives full consideration to environmental and social criteria
- Uses survey results to set targets and shared monitoring systems for sustainable transport planning
- Transforms the targets into a programme of practical projects for implementation by public, private and voluntary sectors, working in partnership
