SUMMARY:We're Going on a Bear Hunt!
DESCRIPTION:Bring your own teddy bear and join us on a bear hunt. There will be a craft session\, followed by storytime and then a walk around Ferry Meadows to find Barney the Bear. \nSuitable for aged 3yrs+ – younger siblings may attend but must have a booked place if they wish to take part. \nWe will walk into the woods so it may not be suitable for all types of wheelchairs and pushchairs. Children must be able to walk for approx. 30 minutes on our way to find Barney. \nMeet at the Discovery Den\, Ferry Meadows. \nCost £4 per child – accompanying adults free. \nPlease phone 01733 234193 for more details or directions. \nThere is a second session at 1.30pm. \nThis is Nene Park event.

SUMMARY:King's Dyke Nature Reserve - Guided Walk
DESCRIPTION:Guided tour led by the warden of King’s Dyke NR\, one of the most diverse brownfield sites in the Peterborough area. \nApril is a good month for the Spring ephemeral flora and breeding bird activity is high. \nThere will be also a chance to do some fossil hunting. \nThe full walk around the Reserve will take about three hours. \nThose with limited mobility can stay in the reserve area closest to the car park and visit the bird-hide. \nPlease wear suitable footwear and bring a packed lunch. \nMeet in the Forterra car park\, 222 Peterborough Road\, Peterborough PE7 1PD – Grid Ref. TL 248973. \nWalks are £2 – children free. \nA Wildlife Trust BCN – Peterborough Local Group event.

SUMMARY:Ferry Meadows Guided Walk with a Ranger
DESCRIPTION:Join Ranger Ian Lowe for a guided walk around Ferry Meadows and surrounding area\, pointing out areas of interest along the six mile route\, asking him questions along the way. \nIn April\, June and July we will cover a 6 miles route which is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs etc. as stiles to cross and uneven paths. You must be comfortable walking 6 miles. \nSuitable for all aged 10yrs+ \nPlease phone 01733 234193 for further details/directions. \nPlease bring water and suitable footwear. \nDogs welcome under close control. \nMeet at the Ferry Meadows Information Centre. \n£2 charge per person. \nThis is a Nene Park event. \n
