DESCRIPTION:It’s a good time of year for dragonflies and wild flowers at the Dogsthorpe Star Pit NR. \nThere may also be an opportunity to visit ponds on the reserve floor\, which support rare stoneworts. \nA two hour guided walk round this important brownfield reserve with the warden\, taking in areas of grassland\, scrub and wetland. \nThe paths are mainly formed from brick chippings and undulate with some moderately steep slopes. \nPlease wear stout shoes or boots. \nPark in Hodney Road – Map Ref. TF215 029 and walk across to the reserve entrance to meet. \nPlease do not park in White Post Road as farmers may need access. \nContact Sarah Lambert on 07784 169260 or at sarah.lambert7@ntlworld.cm for further information or directions. \nWalks are £2 – children free. \nThis is a Wildlife Trust BCN – Peterborough Local Group event \n
