SUMMARY:We're Going on Bear Hunt - Ferry Meadows
DESCRIPTION:Bring your own teddy bear and join us on a bear hunt. There will be a craft session\, followed by story time and then a walk around Ferry Meadows to find Barney the Bear. \nSuitable for ages 3 yrs + (younger siblings may attend but must have a booked place if they take part). \nWe shall walk into the woods so this walk may not be suitable for all types of wheelchairs and pushchairs. \nChildren must be able to walk for approx. 30 minutes on our way to find Barney. \nContact 01733 234193 for further information\, accessibility advice or directions. \nCost: £4 per child attending. \nBook your place(s) by signing/logging in at https://neneparktrust.cloudvenue.co.uk/goingonabearhunt \nMeet at Ferry Meadows Country Park – Discovery Den\, PE2 5UU. \nFriday 10th August 2018 10.30am – 12noon. \nFurther session same day 1.30pm – 3pm. \nA Nene Park event. \n

SUMMARY:Evening Concert: Summer Winds (Wind Quintet)
DESCRIPTION:Join wind quintet Summer Winds for an evening of exciting and varied programme of music from the 1700s to the present day including works by Nielsen\, Malcolm Arnold\, Ligeti\, Ibert\, and Danzi. \nSummer Winds is a wind quintet from the Royal Academy of Music in London consisting of Sally Jane Palmer (Flute)\, Emily Stephens (Oboe)\, Elliott Howley (Horn)\, Olivia Palmer-Baker (Bassoon) and Sam Gillespie (Clarinet). \nDoors open at 7pm with music beginning at 7.30pm. \nThere will be an interval and two halves of about 40 minutes each. \nRefreshments will be available both before the concert and during the interval. \nTickets (£7.50 each or £20 for two adults and two children) are available in advance by emailing summer.winds.uk@gmail.com or by phoning 01572 787856. \nTickets will also be available from Wendy Dyer at the welcome counter in St John’s when the church café is open (Wed and Sat 10am-noon). \nSummer Winds will also be playing at Christ Church Grantham the previous evening and outdoors at Wymondham Windmill\, Leicestershire the following evening\, when a barbecue and tearoom tea/cakes will be available from around 6pm. \nFriday 10th August 2018 7pm (doors open) – 9.30pm \nSt John the Baptist Church\, Church Street\, Peterborough\, Cambs.
