DESCRIPTION:Want to help tidy up Peterborough and make money? \nAs part of the National Green Clean campaign\, PECT and the Campaign to Protect Rural England are looking for a team of eager volunteers ready to channel their inner Womble to help us clean up the city. \nAs part of the event the Green Clean Reverse Vending Machine will be there\, allowing you to feed your collected bottles and cans into the machine. In return you’ll receive a token you can either exchange for 10p or donate to CPRE to fund future litter picking equipment. \nThis event is for all ages\, but under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. All equipment will be provided but please wear suitable clothing. \nTo take part register your interest on the CPRE website. \nTuesday 25th September 2018.  \nMill Lane\, Castor\, PE5 – starting at the junction with Peterborough Road \nA PECT & Campaign to Protect Rural England event.

SUMMARY:Lunchtime Concert: Madeline de Berrié (soprano) and Jonatan Bougt (guitarist/theorbist)
DESCRIPTION:In May Swedish guitarist and theorbist introduced us to the delights of the theorbo. \nIn today’s concert Jonatan is joined by soprano Madeline Claire de Berrié and together they will explore the treasures of early 17th century Italian song by composers such as Caccini\, the type of music which originally led to the development of the theorbo\, and songs from elsewhere in Europe influenced by them. \nAs usual the café will be open from noon\, serving a range of hot drinks and homemade quiche\, cakes\, scones etc. \nAll profits from the café will go to The Green Backyard. \nThe concert will begin promptly at 1pm. \nAdmission is free\, but those who are able to afford it are asked to make a donation (suggested amount is £5) \nTuesday 25th September 2018 1pm – 2pm  \nSt John the Baptist Church\, Church Street\, Peterborough\, Cambs.
