SUMMARY:Midwinter Walk - Ely
DESCRIPTION:Work off the Christmas pudding with the  Ely Local Group as it aims to discover what mid-Winter wildlife can be found around Roswell Pits and the River Great Ouse. \nWith short days\, low temperatures and possible bad weather\, it is tempting to believe that there is little to see in the countryside at this time of year. \nOf course\, that is very far from the truth and with creatures making the most of the limited daylight. \nWinter can be an excellent time to go wildlife watching. \nBittern\, Goosander and Kingfisher are amongst the highlights of previous mid-winter walks and\, whilst they cannot be guaranteed\, there should be plenty of interest around Roswell Pits. \nPaths can be uneven and slippery and muddy if wet. \nNot suitable for people with limited mobility or wheelchair users. \nBooking: contact Will Burdett on 01353 661339 or at willburdett@btinternet.com\n\nFREE event but donations are welcome.\n\nFriday 28 December 2018 10am – 1pm\n\n Cathedral Car Park\, Barton Road\, Ely\, Cambridgeshire CB7 4JE  \n\nA Wildlife Trust BCN /Ely Local Group event.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
