DESCRIPTION:Sunday 14th July 2019 10.30am – 12pm  \nCelebrate our amazing meadows at Nene Wetlands with an insect walk around Ditchford Meadow. \n\nCelebrate our amazing meadows at Nene Wetlands as part of the Farming for the Future project and National Meadows Day. \nJoin our insect expert Ryan Clark for a wander around Ditchford Meadow. \nUsually inaccessible to the public\, Ditchford Meadow is home to a wide range of insect species\, including a number of rarities. \nLearn how to survey and identify these wonderful insects and help us build up a list of the wonderful range of species that the site is home too. DESCRIPTION:Sunday 14 July 2019 12.30pm – 2.30pm\n\nCelebrate our amazing meadows at Nene Wetlands with a wildflower walk around Ditchford Meadow.\n\n\nJoin our resident meadow expert and Living Landscapes Manager\, Matt Johnson for a wander around Ditchford Meadow. Usually inaccessible to the public\, Ditchford Meadow is teeming with rare and wonderful wildflower species. \nThis walk will provide an introduction to the plants\, wildlife and wider ecology of our meadows. By the end of the session it is anticipated that participants will have an understanding of the ecology of meadows including hydrology\, botanical communities and wildlife they support as well as management and restoration techniques associated with meadows.
