SUMMARY:Communication and Planning for Volunteers and Activists - Green Backyard (PE3 8AT)
DESCRIPTION:Sunday 17th November 2019 12.30pm – 3.30pm  \nCommunication and Planning for Volunteers and Activists \n\n\nThis FREE course will help volunteers and activists learn new skills to improve how they work as individuals and together in groups and is suitable for anyone in either a paid or voluntary role. \nLed by Helen Delmar\, who has 6 years experience as a community organiser and activist primarily working around boats\, social housing\, social centres and squats. \n\n\n\nShe has experience and training in Theatre of the Oppressed and has an interest in Social Permaculture. \nDuring the 6 sessions we will explore dynamics of identity\, social ecology\, creating safer spaces together\, developing meaningful policy\, organisational structures\, meeting facilitation and decision making processes as well as looking at strategies for social change. \n\n\n\nWe will explore these topics though embodied practices\, group and independent work activities and will also include some community and self care practice. \nTo create a warm and welcoming environment we will be sure to have the burner fired up\, there will also be a 20 minute tea break during the 3 hour course \nBooking essential – sign up using the Survey Monkey link! https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/WF8VCKR \nThis course is part of the Community Learning Trust programme provided through City College Peterborough and the Cambridgeshire Peterborough Combined Authority. \n\n\n\nSunday 17th November 2019 12.30pm – 3.30pm  \nGreen Backyard\, Oundle Road\, Peterborough PE2 8AT \nA Green Backyard/Community Learning Trust event. \nFurther sessions: Sundays 24th November 2019/1st December 2019 12.30pm – 3.30pm
