DESCRIPTION:Thursday 9th January 2020 7.30pm – 9.30pm \n\nBarnack Hills and Holes NNR: illustrated talk  \nIllustrated talk by Chris Gardiner about Barnack Hills and Holes NNR\, covering the history\, geology\, wildlife and conservation management of this nationally important area of limestone grassland\, famed for its pasqueflowers\, orchids and butterflies.\n\nChris Gardiner spent many years overseeing management of Natural England’s NNRs in the Peterborough area\, and has an intimate knowledge of Barnack Hills and Holes\, which is an outstanding example of unimproved limestone grassland with a very diverse flora and fauna including rare and declining species such as pasqueflower\, man orchid and chalkhill blue.
