DESCRIPTION:Nene Wetlands Bat Walk Friday 28th August 2020 8:00pm – 9:30pm\nExplore the Nene Wetlands after dark and find out more about these amazing nocturnal mammals! \nThe Nene Wetlands Nature Reserve is an ideal habitat for bats and a great place to see and hear them\, with 5 different species regularly being recorded. \nJoin us for one of our popular evening bat walks around Skew Bridge Lake (also known as ‘Bat Alley’)\, when staff and volunteers will be on hand to explain more about these amazing animals and show you how to use a bat detector (provided) to listen to the bat’s echolocation calls and identify the species present. \nIf you’re a member of the Wildlife Trust for Beds\, Cambs and Northants\, you can get 15% off your ticket by using the promo code WTBCNmember. \nWe’ll be taking lots of extra precautions to ensure the event is Covid-19 secure\, including limiting group sizes to no more than 5\, ensuring social distancing and thoroughly cleaning all equipment between users. \nHowever\, to help us to keep everyone safe\, we ask that you do not attend if you feel at all unwell- we will offer full refunds for cancellations due to illness. If you start to feel unwell during the event\, please let the leader know as soon as possible.
