There will be an introduction to suitable methodologies and standards\, including the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and an overview of Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) compliance requirements. Anna has developed an online SmartCarbon Calculator tool and worked with a range of organisations across the public\, private and third sector. \nWho should attend? \nThis event is ideal for anyone working for a large business who wants to know the key requirements of the SECR framework\, and how to meet these compliance obligations. It will also be of interest to SMEs reporting their carbon footprint due to other drivers (e.g. contract requirements) and quoted companies who want to understand the implications of SECR on their existing reporting\, and get a refresher on the requirements of the Companies Act 2006 (Strategic and Directors’ Reports) Regulations 2013. \nMore about SECR \nThe Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) Regulations apply to all large businesses (as defined in the Companies Act)\, Limited Liability Partnerships and quoted companies.  All organisations that meet two or more of the following requirements must comply: \n\nTurnover £36 million or more;\nBalance sheet total £18 million or more;\n250 employees or more.\nThe regulations apply to the first financial year that starts on or after 1st April 2019\, and each subsequent year. The SECR report has to be filed with your company accounts each year and lodged with Companies House.\n\nThe changes affect an estimated 10\,000 businesses. \nThis webinar is your opportunity to understand what information you will need to include in your annual report.
