SUMMARY:Creating Nature's Corridors Sponsored Walk
DESCRIPTION:Every step you take on 10th October plants a seed for the future. \nHere’s how it works: \nYour entry fee covers the cost of putting on the event\, so every single penny of the sponsorship you raise goes directly towards planting more native trees and hedgerows across the UK and Ireland for future generations to enjoy. \nWe already know that getting outside in nature is one of the most powerful things you can do for your mental health and wellbeing\, and on World Mental Health Day\, what better way to celebrate that than by walking through some of Cambridgeshire’s most beautiful countryside\, surrounded by the very woodland we’ve been building together? \nYou’ll feel incredible. The fresh air\, the movement\, the community around you\, the knowledge that every step is making a real difference to the natural world. \nAnd the trees? They’ll be here long after all of us. Growing\, thriving\, sheltering wildlife\, cleaning our air\, and reminding future generations that people like you cared enough to show up. \nChoose your distance: 3\, 9 or 18 miles. Walk for nature. Walk for wellbeing. Walk for the future. \nSign up via the link in our bio and start collecting those sponsorship pledges today. \n📍 Grafham Water\, Cambridgeshire 📅 Saturday 10th October World Mental Health Day 🌿 In partnership with Anglian Water

SUMMARY:Peterborough Area Nature Girls: Launch Event
DESCRIPTION:Nature Girls is a group for all women who enjoy nature and the outdoors to meet like-minded people\, whilst spending time in nature. The is a launch event for activities in Peterborough. No prior knowledge about wildlife is needed for any Nature Girls activities\, just an interest in being outdoors in nature. As a group we are also interested in sustainability\, and sometimes run indoor activities related to this. \nJoin Communities and Education Officer Rebecca Neal for a gentle autumn stroll along the river in Peterborough city centre. We will mostly just be chatting (!) but we might also do some wildlife identification along the way. We will start and finish at the wonderful Green Backyard community garden and will take some time on the session to look around. This is a perfect opportunity to help shape this new group and suggest activities that you would like to see in the future. \nAfter the session\, there is the option to head over to a nearby cafe for lunch or a coffee.. This is not an official part of the session\, (nor is it funded)…just an extra chance to socialise! \nThese events are aimed at women aged 18+\, and we are building on the success of the group founded in Northamptonshire. Find out more on the dedicated page on our website\, and join our Nature Girls Facebook group. \nAdditional information \nPlease refer to our event terms and conditions webpage for details on cancellations\, as well as general information about how we run our events.\nThere will not be access to toilets for this session (unless you join us for lunch at the cafe after)
