SUMMARY:TRASHedy and Eco Games Workshop
DESCRIPTION:For one night only\, Sunday 11 May\, 2025\, TRASHedy – international\, award-winning theatre about the environment and climate crisis – is coming to Peterborough’s Key Theatre. \n \n\n\nA mountain of plastic takes centre stage in this electrifying mix of theatre\, dance\, and multimedia. How many plastic cups will you use in a lifetime? How much waste will you leave behind? And what does it say about us as a species? \nIn TRASHedy\, two performers dive headfirst into the absurdity of our consumer-driven world\, unearthing the tangled roots of so-called ‘ecological intelligence’. \nAs they dig through the chaos\, their questions – and the towering pile of trash – only grow. \nIn addition to this refreshing\, inspiring comedy\, the Key Theatre is hosting two additional events for climate-curious audiences to engage with. \nEco Games Workshop | 2:30–3:30pm | Swan Room | FREE\nHosted by Jumped Up Theatre’s New Creatives\, this fast-paced workshop is accessible\, energetic and designed to help young people imagine their own impact. Reserve tickets here. \nTRASHedy | 4–5pm | 11+ | Subsidised tickets from £7\nRazor-sharp\, unapologetically funny take on personal responsibility and the freedom of choice. Because everything we do has an impact. Somewhere. Book tickets here. \nPost-Show Social | 5–6pm | Swan Room | 11+ | FREE\nConnect with the climate-curious audience and fellow local organisers to see what’s going on in the city and get involved.
