Transport accounts for more than a quarter of UK greenhouse gas emissions and is a significant contributor to harmful air pollution in cities, according to UK Government figures.
Travel planning will significantly reduce your organisation’s carbon emissions and overall environmental impact, all whilst saving money.
The green accreditation scheme for organisations, Investors in the Environment (iiE), has teamed up with Travelchoice and Allia Future Business Centre to offer free travel planning sessions to Peterborough businesses.
This drop-in event will run from 12noon-2pm on Friday, 21st July, at the Grow Café in the Allia Future Business Centre, PE2 8AN (next to Peterborough United Football Ground).
At this session, Travelchoice and iiE are offering to help you set up a free personalised travel plan and give you information on how to move to a cleaner, greener and healthier mode of transport!
Come along to this drop-in session to get hints and tips on how to develop your travel plan and make your business more sustainable. The iiE business advisor will also be available to discuss the impact of travel on your carbon footprint. As an added bonus, Dr Bike will also be on site to provide you with a free bike check-up and service, normally valued at up to £35!
The event is open to iiE members and other local businesses. There’s no need to formally book, but please register your interest with [email protected]. For more information about iiE visit www.iie.uk.com.
