Are you passionate about the environment and want to make a difference in your community? Do you have skills and experience that could help a leading environmental charity achieve its vision? If so, you might be interested in joining the board of trustees of PECT.
We are looking for individuals with skills and experience in one or more of the following areas:
Education – to support our educational programmes and outreach activities that aim to raise environmental awareness and inspire positive change.
Health and Social Care – help us develop and deliver social prescribing services that improve the health and wellbeing of people and communities through nature-based interventions.
Finance – assist us with financial planning and reporting, ensuring we manage our resources effectively and sustainably.
Business – share your insights and expertise on running a successful business, especially in the environmental sector, and help us grow our income and impact.
Responsibilities:
PECT is looking for new trustees who can contribute to the strategic direction, governance and sustainability of the charity. Trustees are expected to:
– Attend monthly board meetings (virtual and in person) and contribute to discussions on strategy, policy, and governance
– Provide guidance and support to the executive team on key issues related to environmental
– Help to identify and secure funding opportunities to support our work
– Act as an ambassador for PECT and help to raise awareness of our mission and activities
Requirements:
– A strong commitment to environmental conservation and sustainability
– Experience in a leadership or governance role
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– A willingness to devote time and energy to the role of trustee
