POSH footballers join Werrington tree planting day

Nature
We were delighted with the support from members of Peterborough United Football Club who  picked up spades and joined in our Forest for Peterborough tree planting day in Werrington on Wednesday 2nd November.

The volunteer tree planting days are helping to create a new woodland in the heart of Werrington. It was great to see POSH players Gabriel Zakuani, Tobi Adebayo-Rowling, Michael Smith and Andrew Fox lending a hand.

Forest for Peterborough, run by Peterborough Environment City Trust, is helping to improve tree coverage in and around the city, with the aim of planting 180,000 trees by 2030: one tree for every person living in the city.

Forest for Peterborough is grateful for the support of the Mick George Community Fund and Peterborough City Council.
