Event Overview
Weave your own creature or contemporary shape in this creative and fun workshop using locally grown willow.
Join Green Backyard co-founder and artist Renny Antonelli to learn about willow and i8ts properties and to use it create a sculpture of your choice, making the most of the great diversity of colours and the natural curves and shapes of the material.
Renny will guide you through building your 3D frame and then help you to construct shape and detail around it using a combination of traditional basketry techniques and artistic interpretation.
This course is suitable for beginners and those with weaving experience.
Homemade soup will be served for lunch. Hot drinks are provided.
