Event Overview

An illustrated talk by nature writer and Guardian country diarist Derek Niemann.

A nation that loves its woods and trees has somehow managed to destroy up to half of its ancient woods in only 40 years.

How and why did this happen? And who prevented them all being lost?

“A Tale of Trees” tells a story full of tragedy and heroism, ingenuity and blindness.

Derek will inspire us all to go out and appreciate these natural treasures even more.
