Event Overview

Develop the knowledge & skills to rapidly reduce carbon emissions in your own organisation & life, and become certified as Carbon Literate.

Are you interested in learning more about carbon footprints and how we can achieve net zero? Have you struggled to communicate with others who don’t seem interested? Do you want to become an agent of change for achieving a low-carbon and equitable future in your organisation or society?

Then join our interactive, informative and inspiring training to develop your skills and become fully Carbon Literate, certified through the UN-supported and internationally recognised Carbon Literacy Project!

This one-day training includes six-hours of live workshop in Peterborough, as well as individual study ahead of the two sessions (around 2.5 hours) that will give you a well-rounded insight into carbon and climate. The format of the day will include two 3-hour sessions running from 9:30am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 4:30pm, with a one-hour lunch break between.

The self-study must be completed ahead of the session and the Evidence Form will be completed individually after the session. To achieve the certification, you will need to then submit a short evidence form, including a personal and professional pledge, to the Carbon Literacy Project (CLP) who certify you.

Lunch will be provided to all attendees, though you are welcome to bring your own. Additional short breaks are scheduled throughout the day. We recommend that you bring a laptop/tablet, notebook and reusable water bottle which can be re-filled on site.

This training will be co-delivered by Change Agents UK and Investors in the Environment (iiE). It is open to iiE members and non-members alike.

Our certified training is suitable for any interested individuals and organisations from a range of sectors. We provide you with a concrete foundation of knowledge which can be applied in professional and personal settings so that you can become an agent of change to achieve a zero carbon and equitable future.
