Event Overview
Learn what fuel poverty is, why it happens, its local impact, and how LEAP supports residents with free advice, measures, and referrals.
This session provides a practical introduction to fuel poverty, helping you understand what it is, why people fall into it, and the real impact it has on households. We’ll explore the key drivers, such as rising energy costs, low income, and inefficient homes, and look at how this affects residents locally across Peterborough and the surrounding areas.
We’ll also cover how the LEAP service can support residents, including free home energy advice, simple energy-saving measures, and referrals for additional support. By the end of the session, you’ll feel more confident identifying those who may be struggling and know how to refer them for the help they need.
