Event Overview

Do you yearn to get your garden blooming, or get digging on an allotment, but don’t know your prunus from your peonies?

Spend the morning with professional horticulturist and allotment lover Gareth Richards as you explore the Green Backyard gardens, learn the basics of plant ID and pick up a wheelbarrow load of tips to take home with you.

Gareth will be explaining the different families of plants and their various needs, helping you plan your growing year with confidence.

This course is suitable for beginners and intermediate gardeners who want to expand and deepen their knowledge.

Bring a notepad and a camera/smartphone to help keep track of the plants you learn.

Homemade soup will be served at the end of the workshop.
