Event Overview

Guided walk with expert Pat Doody to Portholme Meadow, a Special Area of Conservation, believed to be the largest flood-plain meadow in England.

Its good-sized population of Snake’s Head fritillaries will be showing well for this evening walk.

Pat will also point out other spring meadow wildflowers and wildlife as well as covering the history of the meadow.

Meet at Godmanchester Lock.

Closest parking is in Godmanchester then walk via the Chinese Bridge. Huntingdon Bus and Railway Stations are a 20 minute walk away.
